On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure and privilege to invite you to participate in the 12th Conference of the Asian Society of Mitochondrial Research and Medicine (ASMRM) and The 6th Conference of Chinese Society of Mitochondrial Research and Medicine (Chinese-Mit) which will be held in Hangzhou from November 13-15, 2015.
Mitochondrial research and medicine have attracted great attention in recent year. Mitochondria plays central roles for cellular metabolism, cell fate determination, redox signaling and evolution. Mitochondrial dysfunction has been linked with numerous diseases including neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders and aging. There are tremendous progresses in the field and the main goal of the meeting is to maximize this opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss new advances with fellow scientists from all over the world. We also aim to encourage young researchers to joining the exciting research field.
Hangzhou is one of the important tourism cities in China, famous for its natural beauty and historical and cultural heritages. Hangzhou has a history of more than 2200 years since it was established as a county by the First Emperor Qing. It had once been the capitals of Wuyue State (during the Five-Dynasty-Ten-State Era in Chinese history) and South Song Dynasty, which made the city one of the seven ancient capitals in China. Hangzhou is renowned as “Paradise on Earth”, “Cultural State”, “Home of Silk”, “Tea Capital”, “Town of Fish and Rice”.
We will make every effort to organize a memorable and successful conference. We believe that the conference will not only benefit participants from all over the world in terms of academic exchange and developing international cooperation, but will also provide an opportunity for participants to experience the unique blend of historic and modern culture in Hangzhou.
